"Machela" **SOLD**

Just finished this 16"x20" acrylic piece! This lovely Navajo Indian maiden painting was based on the actual person who commissioned it. I made sure to really bring out her lovely expression and also the decorative beads, neckbrace and feathers traditionally worn by Indian maidens.

"Power to the Peds"

Enamel/Acrylic on a 18"x24" hard board canvas. A recent addition to an old foot series that my friend Kim had modeled for a couple of years ago. She was very proud of her well proportioned feet and was also very open about it. So that made this an easy piece to name....

"Can't censor me" Part 1

Mixed Media/Acrylic on a 18"x24" canvas.

Back in business!!

As i returned from my short trip to the south nature reminded me just how beautiful our region of the Northwest can be with the awesome morning fog blanketing the Horse Heaven Hills!
Here is Ray Mack's work hanging up over at Alley Cats. I found the bizarre themes to be most interesting. I plan on keeping an out for more of her work as it comes.
This metal band performed at the grand opening of Raw Space in Ellensburg, WA. Even tho there was no vocalist these guys played some excellent metal music. One of their best tunes was a tribute song to the late Patrick Swayze.

This super friendly local couple commissioned me to paint thier baby son. We all decided that a red to yellow color scheme would best represent his lively persona:) This was an acrylic on a 24"x 36" canvas.

"Ed & Cynthia"

Done in 2009.Ink/Acrylic/Enamels on canvas.

Juicy.....

Kim hanging out @ Music Hall lobby...

Daniel and Mandy gearing up for the Yakima County Fair.....

Mike and I going over indoor mural ideas.....

Metal/Glass art hanging above @ Music Hall...

Jazz musicians @ Music Hall chillin' after a film premiere....

Juicy is like the only word i can use to describe this past week! From last Monday to today its been one fun non-stop juicy social and artistic journey the whole way thru. And like any journey it began with a few obsticles along the way but "negative Nancy" put aside that was well outnumbered by the many fun times and as i switched lines from pure adrenaline to the white line express i was able to continue on thru the week and got to meet a great number of new faces along the way as well as the old friends i got to see again. Yes it was all sadness, madness, art, fashion, brew, fumes, kids, county fairs, and indie film festivals. It was all work and all play. Juicy is also like the title to one of the coolest animated videos i've seen that opened for the well directed Jazz documentary called "Ikon".

"Fidelity"

Done in 2009.
Bumps to her music! Bumps to her videos! Its no secret that this woman holds the power of persuasion in her eyes.

"Ashley Tomberlin" **$400.00**

Done in 2009.

This was an interesting piece. Though this looks simple in appearance a variety of mediums were put into this such as enamel and acrylics. Also i was able to experiment with this by going beyond the colors and techno designs and pasted odd objects on the canvas before the painting part of the process even started.... then i gave the canvas edges a mixed media slap!

"Que Vive la Macarena"**$130.00**

Done in 2008.

Based on one of LA's Esteban Oriol's photographs. I wanted to really bring out a hard looking contrast in this piece.

"DJ Screw"
Acrylic/Mixed Media on wood. Done in 2009. DJ Screw was a DJ out of Houston, TX who without a doubt was the pioneer of the music genre known as "Chop 'n Screw". Avery

**NOT FOR SALE**

"Avery"
Acrylic on canvas. Created in 2009. It was a busy few months with getting things back into order after my sons birth so it was while until I was able to paint this portrait of my handsome boy. There is something about his smile that captivates everyone.

Ice Cube "checkity check yo self"

Ice Cube "Checkity check yo self"
Acrylic on canvas. Created in 2009. This piece is named after part of the chorus to one of his more popular cuts "Check Yo Self". When this cut came out I was in Fresno, California at the time and it was a hot summer that year. The song was playing on the radio non-stop like a wildfire and I remember it blasting away everytime we would go for a cruise in the afternoons. Everything about the song and that time is what inspired me to use this color scheme.

For the Ladies......Paul Walker

**$70.00**

"Paul Walker"
Acrylic/Enamel on wood panel. Created in 2009. Paul Walker usually shows a similar suave and adventurous like persona that Keanu Reeves does when he does his role in a movie. So I had decided to paint this portrait for the fun of it…..and I knew the ladies would enjoy this one.

"Zoe Tamerlis"- 2009 Acrylic Painting
For a while now I've been a fan of the late actress/model. I found that her hardships and accomplishments serve both as an inspiration to my art and as a lesson in making wise choices in life.

"Gloria" Acrylic Painting done in 2008.
The model Gloria is a good friend of mine who actually had been interested for some time in getting a painting of herself done and finally asked me to do one. She is obviously very photogenic and with her creative help I was able to produce this multiple colored piece.
